You can't hear the name Rocky without thinking of the tough boxer who defeated all the odds to become a champion.
Now, the man behind the famous character is passing down his hard-hitting words of wisdom to a young boy with the same name.
Sylvester Stallone penned a sweet note to Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian Barker's 1-year-old son, Rocky Thirteen Barker.
The Blink-182 drummer posted the hand-written letter to his Instagram Stories.
"Dear Rocky, my name is Rocky too. Your name is very special and is identified with wonderful things," Stallone wrote.
"Life has many challenges you will face - you will need to show dedication and determination!" he continued.
The action star wrote that Rocky should "never give up" on his dreams and he must "always value family, friendship and loyalty over fame and fortune."
He ended the note saying "keep punching" and lovingly signed it Sly "Rocky" Stallone.
The actor famously starred as Rocky Balboa in the franchise and wrote the original movie. He even appeared as Balboa in the spinoff "Creed" films as well.
Little Rocky celebrated his first birthday on Nov. 1.
The child has already proved he is a fighter.
Weeks before he was born, his mother was rushed to the hospital for fetal surgery.
Following the procedure, the Poosh founder posted a photo on Instagram of her holding hands with Barker with an IV in her arm.
“I will be forever grateful to my incredible doctors for saving our baby’s life,” she wrote. “I am eternally grateful to my husband who rushed to my side from tour to be with me in the hospital and take care of me afterwards, my rock. And to my mom, thank you for holding my hand through this.”
