Following the arrest and indictment of Sean "Diddy" Combs, Wendy Williams has been top of mind for many X users.
Fans of the former talk show host rue her absence amid the hip-hop mogul's legal troubles and are wishing for her return. They are especially yearning for her Hot Topics segment, which was an iconic element of her show.
During the segment, Williams would take a no-holds-barred approach to the top stories of the day involving some of Hollywood's biggest names.
"Wendy Williams would've dedicated her entire hour to talk about Diddy and his mess. God, I miss her," wrote one user on X.
"People didn’t want to give her her credit but the absence of her voice right now is felt more than EVER! 'YUP!'”' Salute to the Queen, Wendy Williams!" another wrote.
"Wendy Williams at times like this we need you," added another.
Essence magazine took to Instagram and posted a photo of the empty chair Williams used to sit in while delivering the Hot Topics alongside an ode to her.
"One woman. One chair. One word: Allegedly- would've ruled television this week- 'Yup,'" the caption read.
Fans also noted that Williams has long been critical of the Bad Boy Records founder.
In May, Charlamagne Tha God claimed Williams was fired from her DJ gig at Hot 97 after making claims about Combs' sexuality, according to The Source.
In 2013, Williams alluded to the same thing in an interview with DJ Vlad's VLAD TV.
“There was a radio personality once upon a time and her name was Wendy Williams and she was practically burned at the stake for talking about such and now it’s all come full circle,” she said. “There were many situations back in the day in my career and it’s all coming full circle.”
In 2022, "The Wendy Williams" show was canceled due to her health issues. Earlier this year she revealed she was diagnosed with aphasia and dementia.
Combs is currently in jail awaiting trial after being indicted on charges of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking.
